Jennifer Day specializes in monochromatic oil paintings on panels. Her palette generally spans a gray scale however tones of green are also used. The artist’s main subject is water, though previous subjects range from forests to ruins. Unique to her process is her use of only one color which she then wipes  away  to expose the white gesso beneath, thus creating light. In other words, she uses no white paint.
